Good Morning Spider is an American indie rock band formed in Santa Monica, California, by singer/bassist Matthew Gore and guitarist/producer Bo Bilstrup.
Coming together from different walks of the world, Matthew from Australia, where he toured as a bassist and backing vocals in After the Fall (2000-2014) and The Waits (2014-2017,) playing alongside bands such as, AFI, Dashboard Confessional and British rock band “The Darkness.” Bo grew up in Denmark, where he had great success with the band Blizter (1996-2001,) who in 1998 got named “Best Danish Rock Band,” that led them to play in front of big crowds with acts like Aerosmith, Iggy Pop and Queens of the Stone Age. After moving to Los Angeles he continued his musical endeavors with the band andSomeone (2010-2017.)
In 2018 Matthew relocated to Los Angeles, where he quickly connected with Bo’s song writing style and approach to composition. They quickly took to the studio to work on their debut EP “Cities,” which was released to the world in 2019. Their debut EP follows the lines of more traditional rock, adding elements of experimental and psychedelic pop. In 2021 we got a glimpse of the steady growth and identity of the band, with the release of the Christmas song “A Christmas Carol.”
